Sorry for the long delay in posting some good stuff here. I've been busy writing a new book which needs to be turned in very soon. But I wanted to take a break and let my readers know that the FDA officials have issued a caution about consuming peanut butter and peanut butter products because of concerns of salmonella infection. This is bad news (for now) for peanut lovers. But alas, I have good news!
Almond butter is a wonderful substitute for peanut butter. I have a great Berry and Almond butter pizza recipe on page 13 in my book. The kids love it. Besides the great flavor, almonds are an excellent source of vitamin E.

youre so right. in that we (the royal. the allofus)have been panicking and it was only yesterday I thought to whip out my sun butter (sunflower seeds).
And now I shall whip your book out for the recipe too.
(um, email me if you get a second and remind me how I get permission to share the recipe in a post with the Bumbling Band...)
I'm not sure I can live with peanut butter. Especially peanut butter toast, when it is all warm and runny. Yum!
